Two Funny Experiences and ADN Story

Several days ago I was carrying a batch of my postcards into the Alamogordo Post Office.  My arms were full of bundles of cards to be mailed.  Just at the perfect moment, one of my "competitors" exited the building and held the door open for me.  I smiled and said "Thank you, sir".  What are the odds?

Second Campaign Report Filed With SOS

Campaign reports are due today, May 12, 2014, to Secretary of State for second reporting period.  You can view reports of every candidate for state positions.  Just click on Public Reports.  Then all you need is a first and last name.  https://cfis.state.nm.us/

Happy to report that the bottom line is good.  Had a projected budget which should be no surprise and sticking with it - again, no surprise.

Put In My Place By Elementary School Student

Even if this person did not intend to vote for me, this is the kind of input and criticism that I love. 

Dear Ms. White:

 Unfortunately, I was not home today when you stopped by. I will tell you that I DO intend to vote for you, but wanted to pass something along. My son picked up your card when he came home from school and said:

 "Mom, don't vote for this person! She can't even get this right: "I ask for you (sic) vote." It may not matter that you turned off an elementary student, but thought you should know. :)

I have a marker to correct the typo on my cards and I plan to put it to use BEFORE I knock on the door!  Kudos to this young man and his mom for being engaged.  I call it love and recognize its manifestations - family, community, nation, world.
