Notes:
Paragon Foundation http://www.paragonfoundation.org/ met with Otero County Commissioners for just over two hours 1/25/11. Those present were Chairman Rardin, who called for the meeting, Commissioners Flores and Herrell, Sheriff Benny House, Danny Martinez, GB Oliver III, Bobby Jones, Mr. Dugger, Jean and Lou Schafer, Johnny Oliver and Janet White.
After introductions, Danny Martinez gave the commissioners an overview of the law and Otero County in regard to land use. Danny touched on the Antiquities Act guidelines used by Executive Order to create National Monuments (Clinton's Escalante/Grand Staircase and rumored Otero Mesa). I took good notes but will defer to Otero County Commission and Paragon Foundation.
TWO THUMBS UP.
A faithful attendee of Otero County Commission regular, work sessions, special meetings and budget meetings for over 8 1/2 years. CONSTITUTIONALIST, FISCAL CONSERVATIVE. Otero County can only reach its full potential by adherence to the principles that created our representative Republic. I will continue to defend our rights, PROPERTY (WATER), LIFE, LIBERTY, relentlessly and will never, ever support a vote for any tax. DUTY and INTEGRITY. I am not a puppet.

Notes:
Chaparral Tire Recycling Project 1/12/11, approximately 3 hours. Attending were Chairman Rardin and Commissioners Flores and Herrell. According to the documents, Herrell called for the meeting.
In a nutshell, this was an appeal by Oswaldo Galarza of Air-NM.com, http://www.air-nm.com/form05Configuration.xml, for Otero County to participate financially, at least, in a tire recycling project. Also being asked to finance roughly 90% of the project are state and federal agencies, i.e. your tax dollars.
