PRESS RELEASE
January 23, 2011
Otero County Tea Party Patriots

Some 45 members of the Otero County Tea Party Patriots, Alamogordo 2nd Amendment Task Force and Oath Keepers participated in the 2nd Annual Combined Rally Saturday to remind Congress that "We Are Watching". The 2-hour rally at the corner of 10th and White Sands was held to focus public attention on state and national legislative response to a variety of important issues, including tax policy, government waste and spending, immigration, constitutional rights and the repeal of "Obamacare".

The local rally reinforced a statewide Tea Party "We Are Watching" rally held on the steps of the Roundhouse on the opening day of the New Mexico state legislative session earlier last week in Santa Fe. The concerned citizens of Otero County, plus one Tea Party activist from Roswell, brandished signs with "watching" eyes, one huge eyeball on a telescoping pole and one woman with handpainted eyes all over her sweatshirt. Public response was overwhelmingly positive with over 100 waves and smiles for every single-digit salute.

Otero Tea Party Patriots are nonpartisan and welcome all ages and philosophies. If you are interested in learning about good government, you are cordially invited to attend our monthy meetings on the second Saturday of every month at the WOK Restaurant on White Sands Blvd, from noon to 2.
